The PTE, or Pearson Test of English, is a computer-based exam that cannot be taken on paper like the IELTS. However, it assesses a candidate’s proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing English, just like any other English language test would. Your responses will be compared to those of thousands of other responses by PTE’s artificial intelligence to assess your English ability, and you will be given a score in accordance. PTE Test Format:
